How Do You Know WHICH Clay Bar To Use? - Chemical Guys

Chemical Guys manufactures every type of clay bar decontamination system to make any car feel smooth as glass! Detailers and enthusiasts use the traditional clay bar to remove above-surface contamination from paint and exterior car surfaces. This contamination makes cars feel rough, block shine, and make wax coatings not last as long as they can. Remove this contamination to make any car feel smooth as glass, look better, and last longer with better paint protection. Use any of these accessories to decontaminate any exterior surface that is painted, shiny, or clear, such as paint, glass, clear optical plastic (headlights/tail lights), polished metal, wheels, chrome trim, and more. Choose the Clay Bar for the best versatility over large flat areas and into tight small areas like around badges and grilles. The Clay Bar removes the most debris, but it picks up whatever it touches and MUST be thrown away if ever dropped on the ground. -------------------------- Products Used in Today's Video -------------------------- ➜ Clay Luber: http://bit.ly/1R93eYJ ➜ Light Duty Clay Bar: http://bit.ly/2Ww1OTO ➜ OG Clay Bar: http://bit.ly/2Rswe5I ➜ Medium Duty Clay Bar: http://bit.ly/2Ww1PqQ ➜ Heavy Duty Clay Bar: http://bit.ly/2RssNft • •• •• •• •• •• •• •• •• •• • ● Website: www.ChemicalGuys.com ● Subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=chemicalguys ● Subscribe to our newsletter: http://bit.ly/2vjCz9T ● Like Us on Facebook: http://bit.ly/2uJzRxo ● Follow us on Instagram: http://bit.ly/2vjwfPB

Is your car too easy to steal? - Which? investigates

Car theft is soaring with the hacking of keyless cars believed to be driving the surge. But are some carmakers making it too easy for thieves? Which?'s Reya El-Salahi explores the rise in relay attacks and the flawed technology behind keyless entry systems. Follow these five steps to protect your car from theft: 1) Don’t make your car look more appealing to thieves than it already does (e.g. never leave valuables on view). 2) Cars are far more likely to be stolen at night. If you can’t park overnight in a locked garage, try and park in a well-lit area, or consider investing in CCTV. 3) If you use the remote-locking button on your key fob, make sure you check the doors are actually locked - this will ensure you beat any thieves using a remote signal blocker. 4) Keep your car keys out of sight at home and never within close proximity of your front door. If you own a keyless car, contact your manufacturer to find out how you can protect yourself. 5) Use a steering wheel lock. The best locks are approved by Secured by Design and cost around £120. To find out more about how cars can be susceptible to theft, and to see a full list of which cars failed the test, visit: http://bit.ly/2HBrlI1. How to spot a sextortion scam

Sextortion scams, where fraudsters threaten to release compromising photos unless you pay a ransom, are on the rise. Hackers are sending emails saying that they’ve got into your computer and have evidence of you visiting porn websites. The email quotes a real password you’ve used. The scammer, having thoroughly scared you, then threatens to release your webcam footage unless you pay a ransom, usually in Bitcoin. What should you do? 1) Check your password If the password the scammer is quoting is still current anywhere, change it immediately anywhere you use it. If you’re not already using a password manager, now is a good time to start. 2) Don’t reply Despite what they say, it’s unlikely to be true. It’s most likely your password comes from an old data breach. Someone who really did have evidence of you doing something unsavoury would probably send you a screengrab to scare you further. 3) Scan your device Just to be on the safe side, run a full scan of your computer or Android device using up-to-date antimalware 4) Cover your webcam Make a point of covering your webcam when you’re not using it. The chances of your webcam being compromised are small, but it’s an easy extra step to take. 5) Report it If you have already responded to one of these emails and paid the ransom, report it to the police. Action Fraud says that if you haven’t paid, you should report the attempt to them via their website as a phishing attempt. 6) Keep sensitive data secure Keep sensitive data on an encrypted external hard drive and never share it online. Bank transfer scam: Which? issues warning

A victim of ‘authorised push-payment’ fraud reveals how she lost £20,000 of her life savings to the bank transfer scam. Which?'s Money Helpline has seen a large spike in calls about a type of bank transfer or 'authorised push-payment' (APP) fraud, where criminals pose as a legitimate company to trick you into transferring money from your bank account. Protect yourself from bank transfer scams by following these five steps: 1) Hang up Be wary of unsolicited calls or emails. Call your bank directly using the number on the back of your debit card, and type its web address manually into the address bar. 2) Think twice Pay attention to your bank's warnings. They will never ask you to transfer funds to a ‘safe account’ or disclose your full security details, card-reader codes or activation codes by phone or email. 3) Research Research companies you’re thinking of buying from for the first time. Read reviews and be wary of ‘too-good-to-be-true’ offers. Free services such as scamfoo.com flag potentially untrustworthy sites. 4) Update your devices Keep operating systems, antivirus software and web browsers up to date so your device is protected against the latest threats. 5) Do a test transfer If you’re making a large payment after receiving an invoice, first send a small amount and make sure the right person receives it. How Long Does It Take To Restore Neglected Paint? - Chemical Guys

In today's video, Nick demonstrates the proper prep and polishing technique to remove scratches, swirls and oxidation with a machine polisher. Using the TORQ 15DA with an Orange Hex-Logic Pad and V32 Compound to begin, we remove a fine layer of blemished filled clear coat. Refine the finish further using a White Hex-Logic Pad and V36 Cutting Polish to jewel the paint to a mirror gloss. Once the paint has been polished the pores of the paint are now exposed to contaminants, use your favorite sealant and wax to lock in shine while repelling fallout. Apply a coat of JetSeal for 12 months of durable protection. Once the vehicle was polished, the dull headlights distracted us from the overall look of this Mercedes. Check out Headlight Restorer to easily bring back clarity and a factory finish. Adding a coat of sealant and wax not only adds gloss but also prevents future damage. •/•/•/•/• Products Used in Today's Video •\•\•\•\•\•\•\•\•\• ➜ TORQ 15DA Polisher: http://bit.ly/2RIts1p ➜ Orange Hex-Logic Pad: http://bit.ly/2x1y0Uo ➜ V32 Compound: http://bit.ly/1yyp6q7 ➜ White Hex-Logic Pad: http://bit.ly/2uQdsho ➜ V36 Cutting Polish: http://bit.ly/2jVyZ3S ➜ Green Hex-Logic Pad: http://bit.ly/2CHO1AJ ➜ Headlight Restorer: http://bit.ly/2RH8rUy ➜ JetSeal: http://bit.ly/1lGhDMr • •• •• •• •• •• •• •• •• •• • ● Website: www.ChemicalGuys.com ● Subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=chemicalguys ● Subscribe to our newsletter: http://bit.ly/2vjCz9T ● Like Us on Facebook: http://bit.ly/2uJzRxo ● Follow us on Instagram: http://bit.ly/2vjwfPB

How Long Does It Take To Detail A Car? - Chemical Guys

Many detailing enthusiasts ask us how long it takes to detail the cars featured in our videos. Today, we brought in this daily driven Mercedes Benz and we are going to time the whole wash process. Starting with the wheels which are the dirtiest areas, using Diablo Wheel Gel in combination with Signature Series Wheel Cleaner to gently loosen and remove brake dust and road grime. Quickly rinsing off the wheels and then the body we move to the wash. Utilizing the TORQ Big Mouth Foam Cannon and one of our favorite car wash soaps, Hybrid V7 Shampoo, Nick methodically works around the vehicle. Cleaning from top to bottom in linear motions insures that the surface isn't harmed as well as the dirt from the lower areas isn't brought to cleaner panels. To further prevent the installation of scratches and swirls use a Dirt Trap Bucket Insert. Wrapping up the wash process by drying with a Woolly Mammoth Towel, it easily absorbs up tons of water. •/•/•/•/• Products Used in Today's Video •\•\•\•\•\•\•\•\•\• ➜ Diablo Wheel Gel: http://bit.ly/2Mm31bB ➜ Signature Series Wheel Cleaner: http://bit.ly/2bc2Ujw ➜ Dirt Trap Bucket Insert: http://bit.ly/2uJDljt ➜ TORQ Big Mouth Foam Cannon: http://bit.ly/2sHRwlL ➜ Hybrid V7 Auto Wash: http://bit.ly/2zxKget ➜ Woolly Mammoth Drying Towel: http://bit.ly/2xsRoua ➜ JetStream Fire Hose Nozzle: http://bit.ly/2vbJrsr • •• •• •• •• •• •• •• •• •• • ● Website: www.ChemicalGuys.com ● Subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=chemicalguys ● Subscribe to our newsletter: http://bit.ly/2vjCz9T ● Like Us on Facebook: http://bit.ly/2uJzRxo ● Follow us on Instagram: http://bit.ly/2vjwfPB

'An Act of Faith' | Edward Hicks' 'Peaceable Kingdom'

The 19th-century Quaker artist Edward Hicks painted some of American folk art’s most cherished works. In this film Christie's Specialist Sallie Glover explains how, in a series of works featuring animals and children, he reconciled creative impulses with religious beliefs. Towards the end of his life the self-taught artist Edward Hicks described himself as ‘a poor old worthless insignificant painter’. Little did he know that a century and a half later he would become one of the most highly covetable folk artists in America, with his canvases being sold for more than $1 million at auction. The story of Edward Hicks (1780-1849) is a fascinating one. A coach painter turned Quaker preacher in bucks County, Pennsylvania, he reconciled his religious beliefs with his artistic ambitions by only painting scenes that reflected his spiritual outlook. As specialist Sallie Glover explains, ‘As a Quaker he valued simplicity. Creativity was often frowned upon.’ To this end he began a series of paintings that came to be known as his Peaceable Kingdoms. The subject matter is taken from Isaiah 11: 6-9, in which animals are described as living in a serene and orderly manner. Glover believes Hicks was drawn to the verse because ‘it highlighted the Quaker beliefs of peace and harmony’. In total, Hicks made 62 known versions of Peaceable Kingdom, a number of which are now held in museums today, including The Brooklyn Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. How to put your newborn baby in a pushchair safely

If you’ve got a new baby on the way then your pushchair will need to have a from-birth seat with a flat sleeping position (one which reclines to 150 degrees or more), a pram format or the option to attach a carrycot so your baby can sleep in comfort. Some pushchairs have a ‘bucket-seat’, suitable only from six-months old. This is because the angle between the backrest and the seat doesn’t change; you simply tilt your baby back, but your newborn will need a flat area to lie on for the first six months. Watch our video for how to put your newborn in a pushchair with a from-birth seat or carrycot safely. From-birth seat 1. Some pushchairs have seats that recline to 150 degrees, which is suitable for a newborn baby. 2. Make sure the seat is fully reclined and the brake is locked. 3. Check the harness height is adjusted correctly for a newborn. 4. Open up the harness to enable you to place your child in the seat and put their legs either side of the crotch strap. 4. Pull the shoulder straps over his or her arms and fasten the buckle. 5. Adjust the straps so that your baby is secured in the seat. Pram format 1. Other pushchairs have seats that can convert to a pram format by unclipping or unzipping the fabrics. 2. Make sure the seat is fully reclined and the brake is locked. 3. Convert the seat according the manufacturer’s instructions. This usually involves adding a newborn nest or liner and threading the harness straps through. 4. Place your baby in the seat with their legs either side of the crotch strap and put the shoulder straps over his or her arms. 5. Fasten the five-point harness and adjust the straps so that your baby is secured in the seat. Carrycot 1. If you plan to use your pushchair a lot for the first six months of your baby’s life, it’s worth investing in a pushchair that’s compatible with a carrycot. 2. A carrycot is good for spine development and breathing, as it allows newborns to lie completely flat, and carrycots offer a snug and cosy environment for the first few months. 3. Although it can be the more expensive option, it’s best for babies to sleep on a firm, flat base, so it’s worth buying if you want to use your pushchair for naps or plan to be out of the home for lengthy periods of time. 4. You’ll need to remove the seat unit as carrycots are attached either straight onto the pushchair chassis or by using adaptors that can be fixed onto the frame. 5. Put the brake on and securely attach the carrycot to the pushchair. 6. Place your baby in the carrycot and make sure he or she is snug and secure. Our baby pushchair reviews let you choose pushchairs that are suitable from birth using either the newborn pram seat or a carrycot.
