How To Keep a McLaren Looking Like a McLaren - Chemical Guys Car Care
For many of us, our car is the biggest purchase we will make, besides buying a home. You want to keep it protected and looking its best. We show you how to maintain and protect your precious luxury with the utmost care. What would you do for a Klondike bar? We don't even want to ask what you would do for a McLaren. We had the privilege of having this McLaren 570S in the Detail Garage today and we wanted to touch it up to get it looking stunning again. We threw Javier into the lion's den by putting him in charge of cleaning it up, but of course we had to have the supervision of Nick on hand as well. A dazzling white McLaren deserves the soft hands of professional detailer, and when we find one, we'll give him a call but for now, Javier will make do. We approached today with a Carbon Flex Vitalize Spray because it has already been protected with a C9 Carbon Flex Vitalize Coating and this quick detail spray will enhance the protection. It's able to remove minor dirt, dust, and fingerprints that may be on the paint but it will also enhance the water beading and sheeting effects to repel water, moisture, and contamination. The advanced spray sealant also protects against UV solar rays, contamination, discoloration, waters spots, and much more. Nevertheless, it restores a brilliant shine that is unmatched; a pairing that is just as good as Batman & Robin. Javier takes an advent path when it comes to cleaning the wheels. The wheels are made with a Matte finish and Javier needed to use the Meticulous Matte Detailer to make sure the wheels matched the paintowork's allurement. It has many of the same abilities as the Carbon Flex Spray by removing dirt, dust, road grime, fingerprints and more but safe for satin matte, matte, and matte vinyl wrap finishes. The reason it's safe for these finishes because it contains no wax, solvents, or silicone - so no gloss! Also, the spray sealant technology protects against contamination and pollution to prevent fading. To finish this epic detail, Javier passed it over to Nick to take care of the interior. Since the interior is also made with a Matte Leather Finish, he decided to use Leather Quick Detailer, Matte Finish Leather Care Spray because it provides no shine, removes light muck, while also nourishing with its Vitamin E and Aloe blend. It's perfect if you a quick no-greasy and dry-to-the-touch feel. Nick had to be very careful because he noticed that it had suede stitching. He decided that instead of spraying directly onto the surface, he would spray his microfiber towel and then clean the seats. He restored the soft supple feel to help prevent cracking and fading from normal use. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Carbon Flex Vitalize Spray Sealant http://ift.tt/2ffV7nT Meticulous Matte Detailer http://ift.tt/2jRx80h Leather Quick Detailer http://ift.tt/2uRjbkM Yellow Workhorse Professional Grade Towel http://ift.tt/2xLC8Ze Black Happy Ending Towel http://ift.tt/2xtDsji Green Happy Ending Towel http://ift.tt/2xLtj1j •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ● Website: www.ChemicalGuys.com ● Subscribe to our channel: https://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=chemicalguys ● Subscribe to our newsletter: http://ift.tt/2vjCz9T ● Like Us on Facebook: http://ift.tt/2uJzRxo ● Follow us on Instagram: http://ift.tt/2vjwfPB

Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Red Skull (1982)
The human head was Jean-Michel Basquiat’s obsession. Painted in 1982, the year that catapulted the artist to stardom, Red Skull is a powerful expression of his most important motif, set ablaze in primal, technicolour glory. The work is one of around five major known skull paintings executed during this pivotal year. How To Protect Your Car Against Ash! - Chemical Guys Car Care
Mother Nature will always attack your paint but Chemical Guys has the best defense for you. EcoSmart, Honeydew Snow Foam and a coat of Butter Wet Wax provides an exceptional shield for your paint. EcoSmart is perfect for when you're on the go and Mother Nature decides to throw you a curveball. With all the wildfires currently happening around here in California, it's no surprise that ashes will fall on our paint, but EcoSmart makes it easy for you to quickly wipe it away. It's the protection you need when an unexpected attack befalls on your paint. The best part is that it contains some carnuaba in it to keep your paint completely lubricated when you're taking the filth off. Also, that layer of carnauba brings you extra protection from future attacks from Mother Nature. Let's say you do have some time on your hands and you want thick suds to do the hard work for you. Try the substantial foam from Honeydew Snow Foam Auto Wash to lift dirt and grime to safely guide them off the paint for a scratch-free wash. As we stated earlier, it's perfect to battle with Mother Nature because it's been redeveloped to aid in the release of salt and abrasives that can usually be found in vehicles during winter time. And Winter is coming up so fast! Everyone's personal favorite and still the best all-around wax that does what you need it to do. Butter Wet Wax is a do-it-all wax: it shines, protects, cleans, is easy on/easy off. You might be thinking, "What do you mean, cleans?". It does just that; it's natural cleaning power from the refined carnauba allows it to remove light scuffs, bird droppings, road tar, tree sap, over spray, and much more. It's even been challenged to remove dried adhesive and it's done it with no problem at all. It's protection abilities make it especially useful when Mother Nature tries to penetrate the paint but just can't, it's rendered powerless against the smooth finish of Butter Wet Wax. A quick note: from a mechanic's standpoint, you want your cars to run as good as they look. Check your air filter, your cabin filter, your windshield wiper blades, and washer fluid. This is NOT fake news! Be careful when out during the wildfires or any sort of danger out there. Peter Doig’s Camp Forestia (1996)
Counted among the artist’s finest paintings of the 1990s, this work speaks directly to the act of art-making. Alastair Sooke discusses the 1996 masterpiece from a pivotal period in Peter Doig’s practice. Against an inky forest, a cabin is reflected in a lake below. Its windows are dark as if long abandoned; the scene is deserted, save for an almost imperceptible figure in the foreground. Camp Forestia is a masterwork dating from a pivotal period in Peter Doig’s practice. Studies are held in the Tate, London, and the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Detailer Vs. Detailer - How To Use A Rotary Polisher - Chrysler 200 - Chemical Guys Car Care
Do you think you have what it takes to use a Rotary polisher? If you do or you don't, Nick explains in detail how to properly use it and what are the many benefits of using a rotary polisher. The rotary polisher makes it much quicker and easier to finish the polishing process to save you from fatigue and wasting time. Scratches and swirls are paint imperfections that penetrate the clear coat creating a valley of missing paint. Micro abrasive polishes break down the top layer to reveal fresh paint and a fresh shine. Machine polishers remove blemishes more efficiently than hand polishing, but there are many choices when it comes to machinery. Dual action polishers are a safe bet for weekend detailers to get their paint looking great. The two motion oscillation controls surface temperature to prevent damage while also slowly removing a fine layer of paint for more control. Experienced Veteran vs. Arrogant Newbie, it's a fight to the finish! Until the end of the detail job of course, no one's fighting to death here. In the blue corner, coming in at 6'0' and 180 pounds, years of detailing experience, holding the ever-so-powerful TORQR, Nick The Destroyer. In the red corner, coming in at 6'1 and 190 pounds, cocky as a young Mayweather, holding the ever-so-potent TORQ10FX, Javier The Live Wire. Who will win this legendary face-off? For quick and professional results, seasoned detailers turn to a rotary polisher. Spinning on one axis in a circular motion creates friction and heat to correct paint imperfections that a dual action can not. We'll give you a tiny hint on who won? The ugly one. We'll let you decide who you think that is...comment your answer below!!
