A crucial step in winter preparation beyond paint protection is ensuring that your car's front and rear windshields are free of any contaminants and other impurities that cloud the clarity of the glass. Javier steps onto the Chemical Guys parking lot to detail his very own Versa, the windows are shrouded in a fine layer of dust, and the pores of the paint are swelling with contamination. Javier sprays down a small section with a light coat of Signature Series Glass Cleaner, he buffs the dirt and product with a clean microfiber towel before wiping the residue away with a secondary towel. To help protect the glass from environmental fall out, Javier needs to apply a protective coating of Jet Seal that will provide dependable protection against the elements for up to twelve months. To create a good base for the Jet Seal, Javier uses a clay block and clay luber to extract the contaminants from the glass, he sprays clay luber on the clay block as well as the glass to ensure proper decontamination. Again Javier grabs a fresh Microfiber towel and buff away the clay luber leaving the glass free of any streaks, and the glass feels smooth to the touch. Now that the glass has been clayed, it's time to apply Jet Seal with a blue microfiber applicator pad. Javier gently shakes the bottle to loosen the product up, he squeezes out three lines of Jet Seal onto the applicator before dabbing the product out onto the glass. Javier spreads the Jet Seal in straight lines for a nice even coat. The Jet Seal is left on the paint to cure for twenty minutes before being buffed off. The term smooth as glass is now more apparent than ever, and the clarity of the glass is unparalleled.
