Real Co-op Bank email scam: how to spot it’s a fake

This is a real scam email pretending to be from Co-op Bank that's doing the rounds at the moment. In this video we show you all the telltale signs to spot it's a fake and how to avoid being scammed. It's an example of a phishing email - these aim to trick you into thinking you’re dealing with a genuine company. The most dangerous fakes can even replicate the sender email address – so the message appears to come from a trusted source such as a bank or government domain, eg ‘@yourbank.com’.
