In today's video, we have one hour to go from filthy to show room condition. Stay tuned! Super cars shed weight to make them faster and more agile. How To Remove Wax From Plastic Trim - Chemical Guys Detailing - Chevy Cruze

Accidents happen, it's the law of the land. We've all made that ill-fated mistake where we get glaze, sealant, or wax on our trim and it doesn't come off. The new Chemical Guys Trim Clean can remove it and restore the trim in a matter of seconds. No longer will you have to sweat bullets when your black trim begins to turn white and faded. It's now an easy fix with a simple spray and wipe. Use it on trim, tires, and rubber. The All New Trim Clean is a wax and oil remover that's going to cut through the natural oil to get back down to that fresh plastic. A lot of people think that you can wash this off using regular water or even alcohol. An old Detailer's trick was to use diluted alcohol but what that's actually doing is drying out your plastic. An Ancient Egyptian Wooden Female Figure

Thanks in part to the dry Egyptian desert, this beautiful wood sculpture has survived for some 4,000 years. Antiquities specialist Laetitia Delaloye describes the remarkable piece. ‘You can feel the combination of strength, grace and elegance in this representation of a 4,000-year-old noble woman,’ says Laetitia Delaloye, Antiquities specialist at Christie’s in London. Carved from deep brown wood with elongated limbs and a sinuous form, this female statue was made in Egypt during the second half of the third millennium BC, also referred to as the Age of the Pyramids. In this period, carvers, masons and architects began experimenting with monumental forms for the first time, and a figurative repertoire was developed that lasted for generations. How To Seal Glass To Prevent Water Spots | Nissan Versa - Chemical Guys Car Care

Driving with dirty windows isn't a bad idea, it's downright dangerous. Keeping your glass clean prevents accidents because you need to be able to see through your windows to spot danger. Chemicals guys employs a streak free glass cleaner and shows you how to properly clean, clay, and protect your windows by using a durable paint sealant. Chemicals Guys also shows how to properly use multiple microfiber towels to eliminate streaking that could impede safe driving. Winter time is upon us, however that hasn't slowed us down since it's seventy five degrees outside. A crucial step in winter preparation beyond paint protection is ensuring that your car's front and rear windshields are free of any contaminants and other impurities that cloud the clarity of the glass. Javier steps onto the Chemical Guys parking lot to detail his very own Versa, the windows are shrouded in a fine layer of dust, and the pores of the paint are swelling with contamination. Javier sprays down a small section with a light coat of Signature Series Glass Cleaner, he buffs the dirt and product with a clean microfiber towel before wiping the residue away with a secondary towel. To help protect the glass from environmental fall out, Javier needs to apply a protective coating of Jet Seal that will provide dependable protection against the elements for up to twelve months. To create a good base for the Jet Seal, Javier uses a clay block and clay luber to extract the contaminants from the glass, he sprays clay luber on the clay block as well as the glass to ensure proper decontamination. Again Javier grabs a fresh Microfiber towel and buff away the clay luber leaving the glass free of any streaks, and the glass feels smooth to the touch. Now that the glass has been clayed, it's time to apply Jet Seal with a blue microfiber applicator pad. Javier gently shakes the bottle to loosen the product up, he squeezes out three lines of Jet Seal onto the applicator before dabbing the product out onto the glass. Javier spreads the Jet Seal in straight lines for a nice even coat. The Jet Seal is left on the paint to cure for twenty minutes before being buffed off. The term smooth as glass is now more apparent than ever, and the clarity of the glass is unparalleled. Interior designer Ashley Hicks discusses his unique aesthetic as he shows us around his apartment — or ‘set’ — in The Albany, London’s most exclusive complex of bachelor pads. ‘Welcome to Albany,’ says interior designer Ashley Hicks as he shows us into the exclusive apartment buildings on Piccadilly, London. The Albany’s list of illustrious former residents includes Lord Byron, William Gladstone and Aldous Huxley. Built in the late 18th century, it was converted in 1803 into 69 bachelor apartments, known as ‘sets’, by the architect Henry Holland. Ashley’s father, David Hicks (1929-98), was one of the most influential interior designers of his generation, whose clients numbered the Prince of Wales, Vidal Sassoon and the King of Saudi Arabia. David bought the apartment in 1979. ‘The Albany has always been a haven for bachelors,’ explains Ashley. ‘Unfortunately, I met an unruly Texan,’ he dead-pans, gesturing to his pregnant wife, Kata. Medieval Aquamanilia and Metalwork

European sculpture specialist Milo Dickinson talks us through a wonderful array of aquamaniles — bronze water vessels used by noblemen in the Middle Ages, here in the shape of fantastical beasts and men. ‘The term aquamanile comes from two Latin words: aqua, meaning water, and manus, meaning hand,’ explains Milo Dickinson, specialist in early European sculpture at Christie’s in London. From the 12th to the 15th century, before cutlery was widely used, these vessels — shaped like humans or animals — were used for pouring water, specifically for handwashing after meals. Produced in a range of mediums, from more modest pottery to bronze and higher-end silver and gilt copper, their size, design, and the materials with which they were made reflected their owners’ social status. Aquamaniles featured in ecclesiastical life as well: deacons used them to cleanse themselves before performing the Eucharist. The son and grandson of quarry-owning stonemasons, his reputation had grown enough to secure pivotal commissions from popes, royals and even the government of the fledgling United States. At the same time, Joachim Murat, then King of Naples, was at the pinnacle of his own career. The son of an innkeeper, Murat had climbed the French military ranks to become one of Napoleon’s most trusted advisors — so much so that the French Emperor offered Murat his sister Caroline’s hand in marriage. This incredibly rare Hawaiian sculpture depicts the war god known as ‘the island eater.’ Carved some 200 years ago at the height of the islands’ artistic production, figures such as this Kona effigy are almost unknown in private collections. ‘When I first saw this figure I was astonished — really speechless,’ says Susan Kloman, Head of African and Oceanic Art at Christie’s. ‘We couldn’t imagine that such a work could still exist in a private collection. How To Protect New And Old Rides! - Chemical Guys Car Care Camaro SS/Z28/ZL1

It's Camaro week and Chemical Guys has two dirty Camaros from two different eras. Chemical Guys demonstrates how to use a water less wash to remove fine layers of dirt without harming the sensitive paint of these two muscle cars. In addition, Chemical Guys show you how to clean wrapped surfaces to ensure the text remains unaltered. Lastly Chemical Guys applies a paint sealant to keep the paint protected from anything that could etch into the paint finish. To celebrate Camaro week, Nick has two canvases: A 1969 Chevy Camaro SS, and a 2018 Chevy Camro ZL1. The 1969 Chevy Camaro SS is a marvel for its time with a 350 motor that produces 300 horsepower. The 1969 Camaro has been stored in a garage away from the damaging effects of the outside. Nick uses an atomizer filled with diluted EcoSmart to remove a fine layer of dust from the paint, headlights, wheels, tires, and windows. Nick uses a microfiber towel to remove the EcoSmart when it hazes up after spraying. Nick proceeds to the 2018 Camaro ZL1 where he uses the EcoSmart on the carbon fiber wing spolier, roof, tail lights, headlights and glass. The 2018 Camaro ZL1 has a manual 650 horsepower V8 engine. One catch though, the hood and the wheels are wrapped, which requires a different approach. Nick uses Meticulous Matte to remove any dirt, debris, and environmental contamination from the wrap's surface. Meticulous Matte is a hybrid formula that cleans and protects with a specially formulated sealant. To put the final touch on this detail, Nick grabs a bottle of Jet Seal; Chemical Guys ultra durable liquid sealant that protects the paint from bird droppings, water spots, tree sap and oxidation caused by exposure to the sun. Nick spreads a thin layer on his applicator and applies Jet Seal on both vehicles, coating the paint, wheels, headlights, windows, and spoiler. After letting JetSeal cure on the paint for 15-20 minutes, Nick buffs off the excess with a microfiber towel. Art historian Jacky Klein discusses the devotional power of the 16th-century masterpiece. Born in 1541 on the Greek island of Crete, Doménikos Theotokópoulos, known as El Greco, grew up in one of the few remaining outposts of the Greek Orthodox church that was still producing Byzantine art some 100 years after the fall of Constantinople. By age 22, El Greco had become a master of the local artist’s guild. Around 1567 El Greco travelled to Venice, where he studied under the Italian master Titian. In Italy he ‘picked up the spirit of Venetian painting, which is all about luscious rich textured surfaces,’ explains art historian Jacky Klein. After a stint in Rome, El Greco’s work also adopted the twisting figures and unusual perspectives associated with the contemporary Mannerist style. How To Enhance & Protect A Bright White Finish | 2015 Camaro Z28

We're continuing Camaro Week with a white 2015 Chevy Camaro Z28 and it's full-speed ahead to bring out the ultimate shine. Chemical Guys demonstrate the proper steps to upkeep your white exterior paintwork in the simplest and safest ways. This Camaro Z28 may go challenge the speed of lightning on the road but when it's parked is when a flawless detail is needed for onlookers to gaze upon a sight they've never seen before. Let's take a quick overview of the steps that Nick takes to ensure this Camaro is the belle of the ball. The Camaro Z28 has been kept in pretty good condition but it still has a very noticeable layer of dust, dirt, debris that take away from it's shine and actually makes it a bit dull to look at. A quick detail spray like Chemical Guys' Hybrid V7 is just what it needs to remove this layer and add a high gloss shine. While removing the sheet of filth, the Hybrid V7 is also adding a layer of sealant to protect it from fading, discoloring and becoming oxidized from UV solar rays. Remember to use a plush microfiber towel and wipe in straight lines to avoid adding any unnecessary swirls that are much more noticeable. If you're looking to take the shine even further, exploit the benefits that White Light can provide with a dripping wet finish on a smooth white exterior. Eric Chang, Head of Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art at Christie’s in Hong Kong, on a masterwork by the artist who bridged East and West. Born in China in 1920, Zao Wou-Ki moved to France in 1948. In his formative years he was inspired by artists such as Matisse and Picasso, and he continued to be influenced by Western Modernism and the work of the Impressionists and Expressionists. Following his move to Paris, his paintings shifted toward abstraction. Zao’s art has deep roots in the landscape painting tradition of China’s Song and Yuan dynasties. The vertical composition of 29.01.64 recalls 11th-century landscapes including those of Gui Xi, punctuated with high mountains and trees. Pablo Atchugarry – 'Working with Stone is Dramatic' | Studio Visit

Covered in marble dust, the Uruguayan sculptor breaks off from his labours in his adopted home of Lecco on the shores of Lake Como to talk Carrara marble and Michelangelo. Encouraged to pursue an artistic career from a young age, Uruguayan artist Pablo Atchugarry executed his first sculptures in cement and iron in the 1970s. The Montevideo-born sculptor began working in marble in 1979, following his first solo show in Lecco, Italy, a year earlier, and exhibitions in several European cities. In 1982, he carved his first monumental sculpture in Carrara marble. ‘When I started to work as an artist, I realised very quickly that I had no other choice but to become a sculptor,’ Atchugarry says. ‘The first time I visited Carrara, it was like finding true love. I felt that Michelangelo had been there and left something there for other sculptors to follow in his footsteps.
