How To Protect New And Old Rides! - Chemical Guys Car Care Camaro SS/Z28/ZL1

It's Camaro week and Chemical Guys has two dirty Camaros from two different eras. Chemical Guys demonstrates how to use a water less wash to remove fine layers of dirt without harming the sensitive paint of these two muscle cars. In addition, Chemical Guys show you how to clean wrapped surfaces to ensure the text remains unaltered. Lastly Chemical Guys applies a paint sealant to keep the paint protected from anything that could etch into the paint finish. To celebrate Camaro week, Nick has two canvases: A 1969 Chevy Camaro SS, and a 2018 Chevy Camro ZL1. The 1969 Chevy Camaro SS is a marvel for its time with a 350 motor that produces 300 horsepower. The 1969 Camaro has been stored in a garage away from the damaging effects of the outside. Nick uses an atomizer filled with diluted EcoSmart to remove a fine layer of dust from the paint, headlights, wheels, tires, and windows. Nick uses a microfiber towel to remove the EcoSmart when it hazes up after spraying. Nick proceeds to the 2018 Camaro ZL1 where he uses the EcoSmart on the carbon fiber wing spolier, roof, tail lights, headlights and glass. The 2018 Camaro ZL1 has a manual 650 horsepower V8 engine. One catch though, the hood and the wheels are wrapped, which requires a different approach. Nick uses Meticulous Matte to remove any dirt, debris, and environmental contamination from the wrap's surface. Meticulous Matte is a hybrid formula that cleans and protects with a specially formulated sealant. To put the final touch on this detail, Nick grabs a bottle of Jet Seal; Chemical Guys ultra durable liquid sealant that protects the paint from bird droppings, water spots, tree sap and oxidation caused by exposure to the sun. Nick spreads a thin layer on his applicator and applies Jet Seal on both vehicles, coating the paint, wheels, headlights, windows, and spoiler. After letting JetSeal cure on the paint for 15-20 minutes, Nick buffs off the excess with a microfiber towel.
